Taking McCahon
This story is based on the theft of the Urewera triptych by Colin McCahon from the DOC centre up in the Urewera mountains. It was published in 2009 in Landfall 218.

Night Travellers
Published in The Best New Zealand Fiction #6, this story is about a girl who is attacked by a stranger in her own home. It is based on a real story that I read in a newspsper.

Breathing
This story appeared in The NZ Book of the Beach 2, edited by Graeme Lay.  It is a lighthearted look at a young woman who has left her boyfriend.
